Achievement in the classroom stands as a cornerstone of our Basketball Program's overall success. It is incumbent upon the program staff to champion the value of academics and higher education. Academic pursuits must take precedence over all else, even basketball. Therefore, our basketball program will incorporate an academic component to ensure students meet and exceed high expectations in the classroom.
Clear expectations will be established for student-athletes, who must excel academically; mediocrity will not be tolerated. Students will receive bi-weekly grade sheets throughout the school year to foster stronger staff and faculty relationships. As the head coach, we will regularly communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents via phone calls, emails, and meetings. Parents will be kept abreast of their child's progress throughout the year. Additionally, students will be expected to attend ACT and SAT prep classes to prepare for standardized tests. Coaches will engage with students to map out their academic journey toward success.
