Below you will find out all the information about this year’s summer basketball plan. We are looking to get as many people involved this summer to continue to grow the basketball program. This year we will have “Freshman”, “JV” and “Varsity” team competing in the various summer programs. This will ensure everyone gets opportunities to play and continue to grow their game. Also it is important to note that one’s “position” during summer league does not define their position for the upcoming season.
I think it is also important to outline our expectations for the summer. Summer basketball is much different than in-season basketball as our number 1 goal is to get everyone opportunities on the floor. As such playing time is much more spread out. There are only two things Coach Jones and myself ask of every player
Give 100% effort whenever on the court, our team is built on defense, rebounding, and hustling there is no reason you can’t do that.
Respect. Respect your teammates, the coach, the other team and officials.
There is no room for attitude. If you make a mistake, hustle back. If a teammate makes a mistake pick them up and dust them off, officials makes a call you don’t agree with shake it off and on to the next play.
Failing to follow those two rules will affect the amount of time you see on the court during the summer.
