Meet the Coach Night
We will have an event in the preseason to help connect our current coaching staff with the community. We want to be transparent as a staff and give the community a chance to get to know and communicate with us.
Solidarity in Appearance
We will all dress the same on bus rides to and away from games with either travel suits or team sweater vests. This helps symbolizes to the team and community that “we are in this together!”
Varsity Practice Demo
Directly after our preseason parent meeting, we will take the parents to the gym and run about an hour's worth of our staple drills. The point is to let our parents know what we demand of their kids, how we communicate with the players, and how we will spend our time each day. If parents have an idea about what we are doing, their curiosity subsides drastically.
Gear/Swag
We will go big on getting as much branded clothing into your community as possible. We will outfit our players at all levels, have spirit wear fundraisers in the community, and give our administrators nice polos and quarter zips - all with our basketball logo. We will let our players and fans promote our program as walking billboards throughout the comsmunity.
Schedule Posters
The plan is to connect with a local printer and get small posters made with our team picture and schedule on them. We will hand them out to everyone at the beginning of the season, and get them posted at local businesses. We will also mail these to prominent people in the community with an event pass to any home game to try to get them involved. This will help to create a sense of being a part of something for the people in our community.
